November is traditionally a month of gratitude, and we at Strategic Impact have much to be thankful about! God has seen fit to continue to use us to equip Pastors and church leaders around the world toward greater maturity in Christ, greater skills as leaders, and greater focus as disciple-makers!
I just returned from the Southern Africa where our team is continuing to grow the work. This year, we launched our School of Multiplying Leaders in four locations within this region: Mbeya & Dar es Salaam, Tazania; Lilongwe, Malawi; and Bauleni, Zambia. I am happy to report that all three schools are doing well. In Bauleni, we now have students in the 3rd level of training (there are 9 levels of training, which span a little over 2 years). They are not only growing in maturity, they are also growing in number. While in the community, our team spent time with 14 other Pastors, many of whom have expressed a desire to start the SML in their own church. There is great need in this community, with around 70,000 residents in the compound, and only around 2,000 Christians living there.
Please pray for the work in Bauleni, Zambia!
On this visit, our team also launched a fifth location in Roma - another compound near Lusaka, Zambia. 26 Pastors and church leaders enrolled in the SML after a few days of intensive training and evangelism.
At this time, we currently have 223 Pastors and church leaders across three nations engaged in the SML throughout Southern Africa. And there are plans to expand to another four locations within the next six months.
And here is another item for prayer and gratitude - one of the requirements of the School of Multiplying Leaders is to share the Gospel weekly. That means that every four weeks, around 1,000 people hear the Gospel in Southern Africa.
Grateful? Yes, we are! Praise the Lord - that our names are written in His Book of Life, and that, after reconciling us to Himself, He has seen fit to give us a ministry of reconciliation as His ambassadors!
May God continue to bless you, and others through you!

A Passion for Souls
Recently our staff team met for our annual planning workshop. It was thrilling to look back over the last twelve months to see what God has done, including the following:
-over 350 new leaders enrolled in our two year School of Multiplying Leaders, -new churches have been started, -staff and trainers have been added to our team, and -leaders are in training in over 35 cities in southern Africa and South America.
We are also excited about the opportunities that lay ahead. More leaders are asking for our tools and training, church partnerships are being formed to mobilize teams to partner with our staff to launch multiplying church planting movements, and we look forward to initiating our work in south Asia in 2012.
As gratifying as it is to look back at what God has done, and as exciting as it is to ponder the days ahead, we were reminded that the bottom line in EVERYTHING WE DO is seeing people come to faith in Jesus as their Savior.
1 Timothy 2:4 tells us God's driving passion: "He desires all people to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth." We join Him in seeking to fulfill His desire! That is why the ultimate end of all our actions is this - the saving of souls. We always conduct our training with this emphasis and we always include evangelism in any of our ministry activities.
Recently I was in Lima, Peru, helping to train pastors and leaders from a couple of new churches in our Leadership Thrust and getting them started in the School of Multiplying Leaders. Every afternoon we went together into the community to share the Gospel, and 49 people made first time professions of faith in Christ.
Our desire is God's desire - that everyone may have the opportunity hear the Gospel and say "Yes" to salvation that is in Christ. Thank you for your faithful partnership with us as we work to help fulfill this Great Commission.
Yours for His Spiritual Harvest,
Floyd VanDeburgh Vice President Strategic Impact

A Brief Story...
Friday morning, a young man (mid-20s) named Mishek came up to me and said he had
heard the meeting going on and wanted to come and learn. He was Roman Catholic
and attended mass at a church at some distance, but lived near where we
were in Bauleni. I assured him that it was just fine for him to stay.
After hearing some of the teaching, he was clearly moved with
excitement... then we prepared for the afternoon of evangelism.
To prepare for the outreach, I
taught through and explained our new simplified tract. I was grateful to see that it was
well received and easily grasped. I read all the Scriptures as I went,
just to make sure everyone was on the same page. Then, as is our custom with this training,
I had everyone break into groups of 2 and practice on each other one
time before departing to their assigned areas. They completed the practice - and off they
went into the harvest.
That evening, we set aside a time of sharing for what had happened during that afternoon's evangelism. Several stood and shared - a family of 9 came to Christ, with one
woman physically healed in the process, a group of 10...9 saved, one
ran away, 15 professions of faith from another team - and then, Mishek
stood and came to the front
with a HUGE smile on his face. He said "The first convert I want to
share about today is myself!" During the time of practice evangelism, God opened Misheck's eyes to the Gospel and he trusted the finished work of Jesus for salvation - AND THEN, went out into the harvest (with his teammate) and won 7 souls to the Lord!!!!
It was the PERFECT illustration for one of the principles we teach: The
workers FOR the harvest will come FROM the harvest.
Mishek is the one
on the left in the photo below - the guy in the Hard Rock t-shirt. This picture was taken (unknown to me) as he was coming to Christ.

Team,
Thanks for your prayers. The conference is off to a good start, and today was our first day of taking the pastors out to evangelize in the community using SI materials and training. Just this afternoon Dad and I witnessed about 15 people make first-time professions of faith. Both of us have had a chance to share our testimonies. The pastors and leaders are very excited about the conference, and they are eager to plant churches in Lima. Praise the Lord.
Please continue to pray. We'll keep you all updated.

| Floyd & Pastor Yusufu Abdallah in Tanzania |
|
| Subject: Greetings From Tanzania
Dear Rev Floyd VanDeburgh
I am an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at a University in North Dakota. Recently my wife spent two months in Dar -es-Salaam attending her mother who was seriously ill. Doctors had given up any hope that she would survive; hence, they had stopped treating her.The whole family had despaired on the imagination that we were going to lose our mom soon. However, by the grace of the Lord, we were introduced to one pastor, Yusufu Abdallah, who prayed for our mother and now she has regained her strength and almost recovered . Pastor Yusufu Abdallah wanted us to connect with you and express his thanks to you, again, for changing his life. Find attached a picture of Pastor Yusufu Abdallah with you.
I am writing to bring greetings from Pastor Yusufu Abdallah to you; he gave us your number to call you. Please let us know the most convenient time to call.
